Follow-up sequences

A follow-up sequence is a cadence of messages fired from a segment trigger, with a silence window configurable per funnel stage.

The problem it solves: manual follow-up broadcasts kept no record of the attempt. There was no record that the attempt had happened. A cadence holds one state per recipient, and it is that state which records the attempts.

How the cadence works

A cadence is a sequence of messages with defined intervals between them. The starting point is a segment trigger: when the trigger fires, the cadence begins.

Silence window per funnel stage

The silence window is configurable per funnel stage: each stage can have its own.

Per-recipient record

Each recipient has its own state within the cadence, and that is where attempts are recorded. Manual follow-up broadcasts had no such record.
